Environment: At Segal we feel it is critical that we protect the fundamental natural processes and resources that sustain our business and our lives. We reflect this belief in every aspect of our business, from simple activities such as desk-side recycling, to complex decisions involving manufacturing techniques, energy choices, vendor selection, and product development.

Paperless Environment: Over one year ago, we began working with software that allowed us to generate and archive paperless files. Our work in the field and in the office changed dramatically. Our profession has been very document driven and we are very proud of the fact that we have progressed toward generating less and less paper. The paperless environment has allowed us to remove some tedious tasks, achieve some efficiencies and have on-line real time access to information. Good for business and the environment.

Environmental Sustainability: Mohawk Options 100% PC White was created around the concept of environmental sustainability. It reduces the need for forest resources by being made entirely of post-consumer reclaimed fiber. It is also process chlorine free; made with wind-generated electricity; and certified as forest friendly by the Forest Stewardship Council, an international environmental group dedicated to forestland preservation. (or ancient forest preservation.) The post consumer recycled fiber content of this grade is certified by Green Seal, a non-profit organization devoted to environmental standard setting, product certification, advertising claims substantiation, and public education.
